Created in 2642, the Davion Heavy Guards were the seventh unit to belong to the Brigade. Commissioned during the "Century of Peace" the Heavy Guards were soon chosen to garrison New Avalon. But more importantly the Heavy Guards were also to be ready, at a moment?s notice, to deploy anywhere in the Federated Suns to bolster key defenses or to repel any invaders. During these early years of our history peace was the order of the day. The Star League was a dream for mankind and a dream worth keeping. Our first true call to action did not come until 2725, when Mary Davion-Kurita oldest son, Vincent Kurita, would press his claim to the throne. Later history would call this time the War of Davion Succession. Others would say it was the beginning of the end for the Star League.
