Arktos AKS-O1

After the Combine & Clan Ghost bear war the FOIS figured it would insult the Ghost bear by creating an Omni mech that looked almost like their totem mech which had a hand on the left arm and to really add insult to injury they had it carrying a sword in a couple of configurations and had named it Arktos which meant bear in Greek.

This machine sold well in the combine which was sent to the border worlds between the combine and Ghost bears which just agitated the clan just as before when the FOIS recreated the Clan Orion and sold it mainly to mercenaries which caused an uproar among the clans as it looked like a mirror image of the clan mech.

And just like then the Bears did not find the Arktos amusing and swore to destroy each and everyone they came across in battle.

They also swore to destroy the factory that produced them on a world owned by the FOIS which was four jumps away from the boarder.

Though due to the threat the security was beefed up to protect the factory and the workers.

Known Configurations:

Prime:
Armed with a Gauss rifle for its main long range weapon and an ample amount of ammunition that would make sure that it doesn’t run out in the middle of the fight or extended time away from a supply line or base.

Its Gauss Rifle is backed by pair of Long Range Missile five packs in its left torso followed up by a Large Laser, two Medium Lasers, and a ER Small Laser which rounds out the weapons package.

Alpha:
This one comes armed with a Sword in the right hand while the left still retains the Large Laser however a Extended Ranged Particle Projection Cannon replaces the Missile system and a total of nine Medium Lasers and a Extended Ranged Small Laser making it no longer ammo dependent and able to rip holes into an enemy as it closed into hand to hand combat range.

Beta:
Using a RAC 5 in place of the gauss rifle, five Extended Range Small lasers replace the Large Laser, while retaining the twin torso mounted Medium Lasers. However the LRMs was replaced with a heavy MRM pack giving it a powerful medium Range punch.

Delta:
This one mounts twin RAC 2s in the Right Arm and like the Alpha has an Extended Range Particle Projection Cannon mounted in the left torso instead of a missile system and a single Extended Range Small laser.

Command:

As the name implies this machine is a commander unit that carries two C3 Masters, a targeting computer, and twin ER Particle Projection Cannons, though limited in armament it isn’t meant to be an in your face unit and thus stays out of the fray as much as possible while still dealing ranged damage.
