Though posted on S7 as well as here, only you guys got the rumored 5P :)

Been in the works since the late 3060s when they planned to reveal it at the end of the Star League conference as a gift to the SLDF, however that was derailed as the Merchantman DropShip carrying the three lances had been destroyed by a surprise attack by the Word Of Blake which had also crippled the Cargo Fluyt which carried another Dropship which carried repair parts and Supplies for the mechs.
After years of work and refining the mech and changing and updating parts the new model was ready to be released in late January 3068.

It had also been given a new name which had been changed from Eagle Eye to Victor Tactical Mech after Victor Davion who is a brilliant tactician.

Though heavily under gunned it is not meant to be in the middle of the fight due to its role and the fact it is more geared to commanding the battle on the field and superior command abilities to even a Cyclops thanks to the twin IC3, a Beagle Active Probe, Guardian ECM, Enh Sat uplink, & a command consol, however it is by no means toothless as its weapon packages comes in different ‘flavors’ from all energy based to missile, & ballistics.

It also comes with full armor and a single Laser Anti-Missile System to help protect against incoming missiles.

RTB-01P comes armed with twin ER PPCs and twin ER Medium Lasers for protection

RTB-02P drops one PPC in exchange of a trio of LRMs, a single ton of Ammo, & a CASE II

RTB-03P like the 2P it drops its PPC in favor of a Large Laser and a second pair of ER Medium Lasers

RTB-04P is the most different of all the variants as it strips all of its extra heat sinks and a PPC and in their place is a single Rotary Auto cannon.

There have been rumors though that there is a fifth RTB unit that mounts an Arrow IV but removing almost all of its weapons. Though if rumors are to be believed it mounts forty missiles and two lasers and most likely still have its command system still intact, however this makes it hard to believe that such a machine exists.

Its first conflict was against the Word Of Blake when they attacked an orbital factory which was producing the mechs and placed directly into dropships which was docked to more cargo jump ships such as the Cargo Fluyts and the Galleon class merchant ships that had been charging using the Factory for recharging.

Using temporary maneuvering jets it can return to the hull of the station should it get knocked off or at the very least keep it close so the S.R.Ms can return the mechs to the station.

Erick hated fighting in space as he liked firm ground beneath his mech’s feet but of course the wobblies never made it easy on anyone.

Erick maneuvered his machine carefully as he and his lance mates worked together to deal with this threat.

Erick piloted the standard 01 unit and under his command was eight up to date Hussar IIs which moved to form a firing line and took on Light mechs that had been dropped onto the hull of the Orbital Factory as it seemed they was trying to take it in one piece.

Samuel Eckhart commanded two lances of new LAMs to help deal with another group of enemy mechs that landed on the hull, however slower it allowed the faster machines to start picking apart the heavy mechs while Sam sniped with his RAC which spat out shells which left a trail of damage up the left leg and ended at the lower left torso causing shattered armor fragments to scatter from the impact against the Shootist retaliated with a gauss slug in the left arm which hit the hand and tore it off.

Sam Retuned fire with his Extend Range Particle Projection Cannon sending a hellish red whip of manmade lighting adding a new scar to the enemy’s left arm and the melted armor quickly hardened and froze the arm at its current angle and hampering the pilot.

Though it didn’t seem to have hampered the pilot’s ability to hit him high center torso causing him to stumble a little.

Sam Fired everything he had sending streams of shells against the enemy mech sending shattered armor out and around the damage. Soon PPC fire melted some of the fragmented armor and causing the loss of damage that the weapon is capable of doing.

Its Medium Lasers managed to leave shallow cuts along its lower left leg.

Another silver blur of a Gauss slug quickly crossed the distance and slammed into his left torso not once but twice followed by its Large Laser breaching the chest cavity and destroying the IC3 and vacuum disabled the rest of the equipment in the left torso.

It quickly closed the distance between them only to be stopped dead in its tracks by an older model Champion which had its SRMs and heavy bore Auto Cannon for a Assault Cannon which sent a solid slug into the head of the Shootist and quickly joined Sam where it knelt down so Sam could get up using the other mech for support.

‘One down and three more to go..’ Sam muttered.

Lena Troy Torso twisted to protect her right side as an Atlas fired its UAC 20 which shredded most of her right torso’s protection and quickly sent a volley of LRMs at her tormentor sending tiny explosions which formed small craters which caused armor shards to erupt from the damage.

Lena had two lances of Iron Locust Prototypes to aid her in her fight against her foe. Though she had to wonder why they sent only one assault and three lights and that was when she noticed battle armor sneaking away.

“I think not..” Troy muttered.

“We got some armored Infantry trying to make a break for it, any chance we have some support?” She asked.

“Already sent two Battle Armor support craft.” Command replied and sure enough two massive Aerospace fighters flew in and doors opened and two platoons of Standard Inner Sphere Battle armor dropped down and started to tangle with the Blakest armor.

She seen a UAC shell slam into the left side of the Locust causing it to spin on its left foot, thankfully though that the machine had Hardened armor as it only cost the mech its left torso and caused the mech’s temperature to rise due to the Light Fusion engine to be damaged.

The other ILCTs swarmed the assault mech and stripping it of its armor slowly causing the enemy to chose to take on Troy or the pest that was now slowly devouring it’s rear armor stripping away more and more armor with each hit.

It chose to try and finish her off only to lose the last of its rear center torso protection which allowed vacuum of space to finish the job.

Mean while the last Tactical Mech was on the hull of the May which was a new Ship of the line war ship where Riley commanded eight fighters as she was once a fighter pilot herself it was relatively easy to do.

The only problem was when the ship rolled which forced her to anchor herself and quickly went back to fighting enemy craft.

In a blink of an eye there was a flash of light as the May suffered a direct hit from a light Navel laser which She managed to barely avoid however she lost her entire left said which was now nothing more than twisted and melted slag and knowing she could anchor herself she pushed herself slowly away from the ship which rotated slowly.

Using the temporary jets mounted on her side torso, leg, and center torso she was able to move and take pot shots with her LRMs and PPC while the fighters came in to cover their comrade.

The fighting was short and brutal as both sides suffered heavy losses but in the end the FOIS won and managed to salvage several mechs and a few of their purifier adaptive battle armor which they will later on reverse engineer it and start to sell their own version of the PA to use against them.

Nice.

Though I have only one little nitpick....

The 'Mech is produced in 3068 and is named for Victor Steiner-Davion whom is still alive up to 3131 and you are using his "brilliant tactician" in past tense as if he was already dead by 3068.

I should have caught that, the fluff went through many different rewrites, first it was a 'prototype' then was going to be made in the mid 3100s and then in the end it was 3068 and some how missed that one mistake, lol.
