My laptop is fine, it's my desktop that has the virus. With my desktop, I can no longer:

Open PDFs. ("Acrobat failed to load its core DLL.")
Use the "Add/Delete Programs" utility. (Clicking the link does NOTHING.)
Watch videos with Windows Media Player. (Audio plays, but I have no picture.)
Sign-in to PayPal. (I enter my info, click "Sign-In", and it just Refreshes the page. :P )
Find any music CDs I've recently ripped in the "Library". (I can find them using "Open" from the "File" menu, then I can find them in the Exact Same Folder as all the other music, then open ONE song at a time from the new CD. )

Sounds worse than a virus...

Sounds like Windows 10 is trying to take hold.

I had to rip out that damned update (KB3035583) because Microsoft installed it even after I hid the damned thing from the Windows Update.

Yeah, Windows 10 is Micro$oft's Micro-Transaction OS.

Check your Solitaire, Minesweeper, and other Windows Games.

I'm not "Into" Dr. Who, and don't care anything for the damn show, but even I know what a Dalek looks like, and I'd have to look hard at the sign to figure it out also!

Yes, I'm "one of those people" that says "Dr. Who Cares?" :P

I had a mild case of Trekkieitis, but then Voyager and Enterprise were broadcast... and I got suddenly cured.

I'll admit to always being a ST:TOS fanboi. Nothing beats the classics.

Live long and Prosper.

Nah. An old "Elfquest" comic book reference. Plus a pretty "Random" thing to post. :thumleft:

There was some sort of food the Elves ate that was apparently sour. It's been WAY too long since I first read about it, so I don't know if it was an Actual "nut", or if it was something more like a lemon/lime. Basically, I just thought this thread had been "Quiet" for too long.

I remember my parents had a bunch in their junk drawer under the microwave when I was a kid.
