Browser Suggestion?

Post by GRUD » Fri Oct 31, 2014 9:49 pm

Yes, I'm one of those Old Farts that's been clinging to IE all this time. Once I get used to how something works I tend to stick to it rather than adopt something new and start the "Learning Curve" all over again. I was recently given the Link to a program (FB Purity) that will help eliminate a lot of CRAP from FB, but it doesn't work with IE. :( It only works with Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera, Safari, or Maxthon (I think I got that last one right). I don't suppose anyone has had some experience with ALL of these, and so can recommend one over the other on that basis? I'm running Windows 7 Professional, if that matters.

Regardless of which one you recommend, I'll have to wait until I go out of town and can download it at a Friend's house, since I know I wouldn't be able to do it from home with my dialup. :(
To me, Repros are 100% Wrong, and there's NO room for me to give ground on this subject. I'm not just an Immovable Object on this, I'm THE Immovable Object.

Firefox. Do not use the FB Purity.

Use only these 3 addons:

Adblock Plus

I also use Classic Theme Restorer.

Check your PM.

I use Firefox for both work and home applications. LOVE IT!
We still have some legacy applications at work that only work with IE, but they are being phased out.
